da cassino： Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has claimed that Marcus Rashford has the ability to become a world-class player in the mould of Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo.
da poker： Rashford reached double figures for the season on Thursday night when he netted Man United’s winner in their Europa League quarter-final second leg against Anderlecht.
The 19-year-old, who burst onto the scene last season, has become a feature of Jose Mourinho’s lineup in recent months, and the England international has been tipped to become one of the stars of the world game by a former Man United legend.
Scholes told BBC Radio 5 live:
“He has always been a centre forward. When I saw him playing for the young United teams, he was scoring 30-40 goals a season.
“I know this lad can finish and score goals. I am just a little bit worried that he is so quick he may get shoved out wide, which is not a bad thing.
“You look at Cristiano Ronaldo’s record and players like Neymar, he has that kind of ability. It is a lot to live up to but he has that in him. He can be a world star.”
Rashford has only netted five times in 26 Premier League appearances for Man United this season, although the teenager has mainly been forced to operate in a wide position.
However, a serious injury to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, which is expected to end the Swede’s season, should see Rashford promoted to the centre-forward position for the remainder of the 2016-17 campaign.
